1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Website Screenshot ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors and users of the Service.

2. Description of Service

Website Screenshot provides an online tool for converting website URLs and HTML content into images (JPG, PNG, WebP) and PDF documents. The Service includes features such as full-page screenshots, mobile device previews, and HTML-to-image conversion.

3. User Accounts

Certain features of the Service may require you to create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Access, capture, or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or defamatory
  • Violate the intellectual property rights of others, including copyrights, trademarks, or trade secrets
  • Circumvent security measures, rate limits, or access controls of any website
  • Scrape, crawl, or extract data from websites at scale using our Service as an automated tool
  • Distribute malware, phishing content, or engage in fraudulent activities
  • Generate screenshots of content behind paywalls or authentication without authorization
  • Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our infrastructure

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Website Screenshot and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the content you submit for conversion. However, by using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your submitted URLs and HTML content solely for the purpose of generating screenshots as requested.

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to capture screenshots of any website or content you submit. We do not review or verify the intellectual property status of submitted URLs.

6. Generated Content

Screenshots and PDFs generated through the Service are provided for your personal and commercial use. You are responsible for the legality of capturing and using screenshots of third-party websites. Website Screenshot is not liable for any copyright or intellectual property claims arising from the content you choose to capture.

7. Paid Plans and Billing

The Service offers free and paid subscription plans. For paid plans:

  • Billing is processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at support@websitescreenshot.app for refund requests.

8. Rate Limits and Fair Use

To ensure service quality for all users, we impose rate limits on screenshot generation. Free tier users have lower limits than paid subscribers. Excessive or abusive use of the Service, including automated requests without authorization, may result in temporary or permanent suspension of access.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • Screenshots will be pixel-perfect or match the exact appearance of the target website
  • The results obtained from the Service will meet your expectations

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Website Screenshot and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Website Screenshot and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

12. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation or, if necessary, in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
